Data interpretation process begins with Community Coordinating Table members
On Monday, September 14th, 2026, members of the PYSUP Community Coordinating Table (CCT) gathered together in person and online for the first step of our data interpretation.
Following our in-school surveys in April and May 2026, Planet Youth compiled a detailed report breaking down the responses from local youth. This report is full of valuable insights from local youth and is key for building our action plan.
The first phase of our data review focused on looking at responses and themes from six key domains: substance use, well-being, leisure time, community, family, and peers. Melanie Cormier, a Project Manager with Planet Youth, did a wonderful job sharing the data and results with the Community Coordinating Table. Guided discussions were had in small groups, led by PYSUP and Lakelands Public Health team members, to further explore the data.
Following this first data interpretation meeting, we asked members of the CCT to share a word that represents how they're feeling. It's clear that our members are ready to use this data to improve connection and belonging for youth in our community.

This was just the first stage of a comprehensive data review, interpretation, and dissemination process. The Community Coordinating Table will continue to meet over the fall before sharing our community data with local youth and then the entire community.
We’re listening to, and learning from, local youth to build a community action plan that supports them.
